The Stickleback Stock Center, here at the University of Connecticut, is finally making waves and opening its stock to orders and researchers!
A year filled with building two more (total of four!) fish rooms in our facility, water chemistry, and Dr. Kat Milligan-McClellan and Dr. Dan Bolnick providing starter populations from around Alaska, United States and British Columbia, Canada lends itself to over a year of preparation for this very moment! We will continue to rear and cross animals we have on site and bring in new lineages from the wild during field season. With the possibilities for gene editing for clutch orders mixed with gut microbiota or parasite work, your research opportunities are within reach!
